Anyone know if this is a more widespread issue in the industry or just isolated cases of bad batches of batteries? Batteries are a problem across the board. I've witnessed recalls of not just many a computer battery, but also camera batteries, camcorders, you name it. Presumably Apple has a contract to cover this recurring industry wide battery problem. And yes, NEVER had a problem getting top notch customer service at Apple. Period. One of the reasons I keep buying Apple products: I don't have time to dick around with bad customer service.
