Since Apple and other hardware vendors contract out their machine which are made with generic parts my guess is Apple has no more problems with these kinds of things than other design houses. Why would Apple be any different?

The pro desk tops are another thing altogether. Again though, my guess is they probably have less problems (my poorly designed Quicksilver not with standing).

Now if you are talking software, obviously Apple is king,
