My comment: I think the wise thing to do here is to "force peace" as suggested by Blair and Chirac. The goal should be to force Israel and Iran/Syria along with their surrogates, Hebollah and Hamas, to come to the negotiating table and while there, even open up the issue of uranium enrichment with Iran.

I don't think it is a far fetched idea, though it may be to Bush, Olmert, Hezbollah leaders and those in Syria and Iran. If the world makes a determined effort by posting men and women in "blue beret" in the troubled region of the ME, we could begin to make it a saner world similar to the 60's and 70's.

UNITED Nations Secretary-General Kofi Annan and British Prime Minister Tony Blair have called for an international force to be sent into Lebanon to end the growing conflict between Israel and Hezbollah.

The proposal came amid more devastating attacks from both sides, with Israeli air strikes on Lebanon killing more than 30 people, and a Hezbollah rocket hitting a residential building in the Israeli city of Haifa.
