The recent Bunga Seroja discovery in Malaysia has resulted in a significant reduction in required investment for phase 2. This is primarily due to the high quality of the gas discovered, reducing the requirement for expensive CO2 stripping equipment, but also due to the location of the discovery.
These high quality reserves will probably nullify the necessity of developing the more northern Bunga Pakma and Orkid fields. This would substantially increase the economics of the whole project.
