OT - >> That said I noted an interesting phenomenon the other day. Imagine if one can get a big enough following. One sees a sideways trading stock on a low volume lazy afternoon, one buys such stock. Then one announces said purchase. All of a sudden volume appears in said stock and the price bumps up a penny or two. Of course it takes 5 - 10 minutes for the action to pick up, but increased volume and a move toward the top of an intraday T/R brings the momo boys. <<

Bingo. Why do you think Iso's most common trading plays are microcaps or thinly traded.

I've been posting more on I-Hub of late and been posting less often. Nice change of pace. Don't feel like I need to defend myself or try to play guru (not that I'm anywhere close).

My IRAs are still mostly cash. Other accts are about 75% cash, about 8% other (tech, some alt energy and pharma) and the rest PMs. Most of my ST trades of late (past 2 weeks) have either not panned out very well or have been only small gains, but risked very little given my confort level so not sweating it. Did pull the trigger on some EBAY today and that one is working out pretty good ST. I think the markets should rally pretty soon here as I think the Fed is definately on hold in August now and the Isreal confict will most likely not spiral out of control. Isreal has announced some objectives and gold/oil reflected that today. The news is likely to get better, not worse, going forward. Beyond the ST I'm waiting for the market to tell me. If the HUI gets near 310 or lower again I'll likely add more positions again. Just the plan so far, but bound to change.
