There is a question I had asked concerning Ed Sharansky and it applies to all who are Jewish. Why do they think they want to have a nation based on their religious faith.

You talk about an attempt to wipe them out last century and a threat to do so again this century. We have a similar accusation with those of the Islamic faith. And peculiarly these are the two faiths who are going at each other while those from other faiths such as Christianity, Buddhism, Hinduism etc. are not involved in any such behavior. Those folks are born into a culture and they live and die into that culture.

On the issue of Israel/Hezbollah, if Israel is seriously interested in dealing a blow to Hezbollah, they can do so within a day or two. Israel has claimed that Hezbollah should not park near their border. So Israel knows where they are. So why do they go and bomb Beirut and other civilian areas. The outcry against Israel is not because they are using force. It is because they are using force against the wrong people, the innocent civilians.

When Israel bombs civilian areas they are no better than Hezbollah who do the same.
