Great Central selected Keystone Insurers Group to distribute its insurance and risk-management products in three new states.

Keystone will sell Great Central's products in Pennsylvania, North Carolina and Virginia. It is based in Northumberland, Pa. The company's network of agents will market Great Central's commercial auto, umbrella and workers' compensation products.

Great Central markets policies for the food and hospitality, religious and specialty retail industries. It is a subsidiary of San Antonio-based Argonaut Group Inc. (NASDAQ: AGII). The company's operations are in Peoria, Ill.

Joe Joyce, Keystone's vice president of property and casualty and programs, says the company's affiliation with Great Central will give agents the ability to sell policies from the "premier target marketing carrier in the business."

For Great Central, the relationship will allow the company to expand its presence significantly in Pennsylvania, North Carolina and Virginia, Great Central President John W. Polak says.
