Bush has clearly made Iran much more dangerous. George Will blasted Bushies about this yesterday in his article, blaming the Bush neocons for inflaming tensions.

Clearly, Hezbollah existed before Bush came onto the scene, but Bush and his people went too far and forgot about diplomacy. The Axis Of Evil speech combined with the unilateral invasion and occupation of Iraq spooked Iran and North Korea into acceleerating their nuclear programs and kicking out inspectors. In Iran, a radical president who would never have been elected before got into power because of Bush's tactics. Ditto Hamas in Palestine and an Al Qaida warlord in Somalia.
