Dave, I think that would be a great idea to check for just the horizontal support scans; it would be fairly easy to screen out the excess fluff by eyeballing it--it would make the programming that much easier too. However, I am concerned that too many candidates might pop out. Are you able to incorporate technical indicators into your search criteria as well? I'm asking because if it's possible, do you think you can add along with your scan criteria stocks that have an RSI(14) level above 50 on the weekly charts? I believe it raises the probabilities in our favor that the stock price movement will continue in the desired direction(up).

Just a question: are you able to write these scan programs from charting software?
