thanks I expected as such. There are no whites in distribution and it would be not cool to stock the Apple stores and nobody else (the Apple resellers are nervous about the Apple stores anyway). The black models are the ones that will sell into business. Business for the most part won't buy the white ones. It is imperative that Apple has enough black ones in stock for any large business orders. I am just concerned that it is only July, and here we are with shortages. What about August and September. Had apple gone with Quanta for the MBs instead of Asus, they would have been able to ramp the demand faster since Quanta is a bigger supplier. There could be something to that 15" Macbook rumor- this would basically be a watered down PRO, that Quanta can build to fill some of the demand. The 17" pro is selling particularly well, among the pros. My opinion is any independent executive wants a Macbook pro now. All the "entrepreneurs to be" that are giving presentations at the VCs where I work are doing their presentations on Macbooks now. Its all image in this business. I think this could apply to all salespeople.
