And Iran has been supply/financing much of Syria's military as well." I understand that but in the same sense Israel is a proxy for the US and armed to the teeth by the US. Proxies abound in that sense but israel is a nation fighting for its life and hizbolla members are shiaa arabs, not persians and they are fighting for their lives. I dont have a good feel for this war at all and no clue how it turns out. Too bad sharon wasnt around. It may not have happened. This may be simply a probe by an enemy to see how tough Olmert is and on Olmerts part, perhaps an overreaction to prove his manhood. I am going to take a nap.
