Hamas is being supported by all their Sunni allies. Makes sense that Saudi Arabia is the main supporter of Hamas. Iran is also extensively supporting Hamas. Makes less sense that the Shiites in Iran are supporting the Sunnis in Palestine, but they will do anything to support terrorism.

Hezbelloh is being supported as a Shiite organization by a Sunni Baathist leader in Syria.

Hams used to be supported mainly from SA, but the Iranians have been trying to buy support with arms for the PLO and Hamas? Remember the Karine A? That was stuffed with Iranian arms.

Bashar Assad is not a Sunni. He's an Alawite, a minority Shia-related sect. Syria is full of Sunni Islamists who think they should be running the show. Last time they tried was in 1982 in Hama. Hafez al Assad killed about 20,000 and paved over their section of town.

But yes, Shia and Sunni Islamists who hate each other will work together against Israel and America. Ditto for secular tyrants and Islamists. Big surprise. "My enemy's enemy is my friend."
