I can't disagree with the comments about the US State Dep't. My experiences with them suggest they ae possibly the most useless organization on the planet (and that includes the UN).

Second, Israel has stated it is blocking exits from Lebanon to stop Hezbollah from moving the kidnapped Israeli soldiers to Syria or Iran. I find it hard to fault them for this. The Hezebelloah invasion of Israeli territory and killing and capturing Israeli questions was unquestionably an act of war. The farcical claim that Hezbollah is not the Lebanese gov't is laughable; they are part of it. According to Larry King last night, the IDF is being careful not to shell or bomb Christian portions of Beirut.

I generally do not side with Israel, but in this case they are right. All Hezbollah or Hamas has to do to end their portions of this fight is release its captives. THEY are the ones keeping this going.

Anybody notice there has been NO MENTION of the Iranian nuclear program since started? How convenient! Maybe a little too convenient?
