Bush is the commander and chief of the greatest super power the world has ever known. In name only. Cheney and his neocon buddies run running the country, and running it into the ground I might add. Sure, Bush Jr. poses, and gets his briefings, and asks Condi if he can go to the bathroom or how far it is to China. He can even insist on vetoing stem cells or some other issue that god has been whispering about,, but when it comes to issues that the neocons care about they just don't implement what he says and do what they want to do anyway. Remember when Jr. announced he was going to close the bombing range on Vieques, Puerto Rico? They ignored him. With Bush Jr. the necons have found the perfect patsy. So long as the band still plays Hail to the Chief and people call him "sir" at meetings (and he gets lots of money) then he is perfectly happy to play the part of President, and let the neocons run amuck.
