All that matters is the amount of CO2 in the air.

If it is recyled through corn in 1 year or recycled through oil in a million years it doesn't matter. It only matters how much hydrocarbons are burned on a regular basis. It only matters what percentage of air is composed of greenhouse gasses.

The burning of fossil fuels is just another sign that we are burning hydrocarbons at a terrific rate. It's a symptom of the actual problem which is that we use hydrocarbons as our principal energy source.

--- I don't want to imply that it's fine to just burn fossil fuels and let the "carbon neutral" go into the air also. You have to reduce all the carbon sources.
