Thats a great question about the volume being so low on the transition to AMEX. Apart from the price dropping on Monday, that has been the biggest surprise to me of the NAZ move.

I could offer three possible explanations:

1. We were due for a low volume, consolidation, basebuilding period anyway and the switch to the NAZ just happened to come in the midst of it. We are certainly getting the low volume basebuilding so....

2. The Naz marketmakers are still feeling their way around trading this puppy, holding positions in this puppy, trying to scalp some pennies on this puppy. And with no corrupt AMEX specialist to gin up shorties and bashers, maybe we are just temporarily in new territory for the Naz MMs and they are being cautious at first.

3. The transition from HOM to HSOA still has some computers at brokers and trading desks confused and until it all gets ironed out (who knows how long) the volume will be reduced.

Maybe we need to get some sort of news to hit the wires under "HSOA" for the full transition to occur. Who knows.

Otherwise, it has been very surprising how low the volume is on HSOA now that we are in Da Promised Land.

stay long, stay strong
