The cash position has been one of the worries around Avigen. It has fed worries as time has gone on without a named pharmaceutical partner. I think Avigen's patent position and technology look strong, but people seem to be concerned that they may have to do additional public financing with the stock at a low price. I think announcing a big partnership will probably catapult the stock. They may be trying to extend the research as far as possile on their own before announcing a partnership in hopes of cutting a better deal.
