Bush lied about the stem cell issue. Either he is totally ignorant or just totally dishonest. Take your pick. He played into superstitions and paranoid theories of radical rightwing religious nuts who concoct fantasies of baby factories cutting up infants to make stem cell tisue rolls. That's right out of some dark-minded sci fi novel. It has nothing to do with reality. In fact the senate's bill had all kinds of ethical protections to it. Bush lied. And people died. That is becoming a familiar refrain isn't it?
