There is no civilization on earth today that uses force to raise their children.

I'm not so sure that's an accurate statement depending on how much physical discipline is required to be considered force.

When children misbehave, do we beat the hell out of them to straighten them out?

Some people do. Its generally not accepted in the more developed countries but it probably more accepted elsewhere.

When adults misbehave, are they not just ignorant people behaving child like?

Adults have more responsibility then children. Also they are more likely to cause a lot of damage when the misbehave even if it is just acting act and acting in immature ways.

Terrorism, oppression etc. go far behind just acting act. They are serious adult acts. The are evil acts, not childish acts.

If you look at the trend of civility and resolving conflicts without the use of force, there is no doubt the use of force has no credibility and is on its way out.

The use of force to defend against force has a lot of credibility. And force whether defensive or aggressive, is far from being on its way out.
