The israelis cannot negotiate with folks who view all negotiations as tactical means to affect the death of israel. That seems so simple to me.

No kidding! I do agree with Sun however, that we don't accord respect to any of the Arab states. We need to encourage them to step onto the world stage, and assist them in doing so publicly, while behind the scenes have frank discussions about the issues we see as problems. Bush has the opposite approach: Bash them in public, and refuse to talk in private. I don't get it.
