I think apple is immune to recessionary events as is goog.

In both cases you have a company with a miniscule market share looking to become a dominant force in a HUGE market. In other words they each have the chance to grow their revenue streams 10 fold. That doesn't come around very often and in some ways you need a recessionary climate to get here. GOOG tripled in a bad market last year, it can happen. Not often but it happens.
