Hello Don,

I'm on the road again as usual and really had to think about this post for quite some time. I have to say that I was somewhat shocked by your post ... and then when I considered this particular forum I realized that it is just par for the course.

You stated:

> As a person who was in sales for 20 years ...

I'm surprised that after 20 years you could not have learned a better technique at contributing to a solution. But I can see that you excel at pointing blame and trying to attack hard working people personally and publicly. I hope that you felt great after writing this post ... you did so at the expense of some good people.

I can understand your frustration, or your desired to see things become better, but I question your ability to help.

> As a stock holder there is nothing quite as depressing as watching
> three computer nerds capable of public speaking bore a hundred
> people half to death.

As an employee there is nothing quite as frustrating as an abusive investor who brags about capability but finds joy in attacking the very people he expects to do wonders for him.

I'm sorry if I somehow missed the positive side of this posting of yours. If you were looking to "motivate" the people at Novell by this post then I have to say that you didn't. I would have much rather seen you use your 20 years of learning to suggest improvements to the employees in general or to teach those who might benefit from your expertise.

If what you really wanted was some attention at Novell, I'm sure that you got it. Those who thought of this forum as a waste of time are re-assured. Those who agreed with you in the past now realize that no one at Novell can do good enough for you.
