It makes sense that if they are in a bind they would try to target IRA accounts. They are Non-Margin accounts and ordinarily they could not borrow stock out of such funds.

So they are evidently trying to get their hands on some of those shares by offering a premium. Hmmmmm

as someone else said, no such offers yet from TD ameritrade
