I ran out of time with that previous post but I haven't run out of thoughts.

First of all, the word "incomtetent" should be spelled "incompetent", but you knew that.

Second, GRNO is not "battling" DHEC to get a permit to operate, but it must still get permission to operate at the proper level. Right now it is artificially forced by DHEC to operate at 1/3 of its design level because that was how the original permit request was worded. In the past two years the design was upgraded from 200 GPH to 600. I'm hoping that DHEC will decide to grant the amended permit without further ado, rather than go thorough this whole asinine process over again.

Another thought has to do with the role of government in this country. I see on TV occasional references to the "disconnect" between government and the average citizen. The leaders of Congress say they aren't interested in campaign finance reform because they don't sense a great amount of interest in it from the public. And yet we see instances all the time of how government abuses individual citizens and small businesses and we have seen first hand that our individual complaints about gross mistreatment by government employees goes ignored by our own representatives. This has created a cynicism that corrodes the attitude of a citizen toward making contact with any form of government.
