You did what you had to do. You caved. You assimilated. That was doing the smart thing.

But, the people that did what they did to your ancestors are not what Western Civilization is all about. They did nothing to advance civilization. They took the easy road. They took advantage of what Western Civilization produced.

Western Civilization advanced despite these people.

If you want to idolize these people, that is up to you. You are worshipping the wrong people.

If you got all the people responsible for the ascendency of Western Civilization together (Aristotle, Socrates, Plato, Jesus Christ, St. Augustine, Aquinas, John Locke, Thomas Jefferson, etc, etc,... got them together today - do you think they would approve of all the stuff that is going on now?

The seeds of Western Civilization have been sewn. That doesn't mean everyone will immediately understand it.
