Amazingly perspicient quote from the UN and Kofi there. They generally seem to consider everything ours and Israel's fault. Good find. Could be very embarassing to the "let Hezbollah run wild" school.

They were on a "roll" there for awhile with regard to Syria, given the Hariri assassination, but then they shrugged their shoulders and failed to press Lebanon on the Hizbullah issue and the threat it posed to dragging Lebanon into a war with Israel.

Listen.. I don't like the fact that people are dying in Lebanon. Hell, my sister is over there with her husband trying to get out. But there is plenty of blame to be shared on this issue of Hizbullah and it's one further example of how the spineless UN Secretary-General is more interested in talking than acting.

I hope neither my sister, or any other evacuating foreigners are caught in the exchange of hostile fire in Lebanon.

BUT IF THEY ARE, I will not be blaming the Israelis. I'll be blaming the Lebanese government for permitting a terrorist group initiate a war and doing little to stop it.

And I think I would have a good case.. Considering the Lebanese army HAS DONE NOTHING to prevent Hizbullah from warring against Israel. Hell, in fact, the Lebanese government says their army might actually HELP Hizbullah fight the Israelis.
