You're well intentioned but patronizing, a cartoon view of humanity and history.

I once had a eng lit professor who believed that everything great in life was simple. You can make everything and anything much more complex and make it so complex that you can't understand it anymore.

The most important and complex things in life such as love, F=MA, E=MC2, etc can be reduced into something that everyone can understand.

People can make something very simple like "thou shalt not kill" into something so complex that they no longer have an understanding that you do not need to commit violence to achieve desired results. Make all the excuses you want.

Yes, I agree. That is a cartoonish view of life and that is about all I can understand - and all I want to understand.
