I suggest reading the posts by jonkai on the MSFT thread posted yesterday and today. His posts on MSFT could easily apply to some of the semi industry with a slight change in #s. The message is that for 8 years MSFT hasn't done a thing for shareholders and only makes money for the insiders and employees. This holds very true for many companies in the SCE and general semi industries. The market has had enough of this crap. You are absolutely correct in suggesting that one would be better off holding a bank stock. In general, they return money to shareholders not simply to employees.
