I think Israel has a right to defend itself. I think if it had acted proportionately to the kidnapping of it's soldiers, we might not be where we are. I have no idea how far Israel will go. It shames me Bush greens-lights the deathfest - he could have nipped it in the bud with a phone call. So far, Lebanon seems to have paid 100 times the price of Israel, mostly in innocent "collateral damage", but Israel has ruined any chance for peace for at least a decade. Lebanon will almost certainly come out of this as a bigger, more dangerous Gaza. A complete mess, with no good end in sight.
