What few people want to deal with is the 'broader context' of conflict in the ME. We both know that the foundation of Israel is based on a vision of theocratic world domination, as is Palestine. The two entities are bound in this perpetual cycle of violent contention and it entangles every corner of the globe in its web. As much as we would like to see them peacefully coexist as small nation state neighbors, such hopes are unrealistic. Any respite from war will be temporary as far as the forseeable future.

You may or may not believe in the eventual rise of a Zionistic, Christian, or a Caliphate Kingdom of God on Earth, but you must recognise that it is codified in the world views of billions of people... and not likely to evaporate soon.
