Either of YOUR proposals would be superior to the current situation. Are three Israeli soldiers really worth 1000 Arab prisoners? What's the exchange rate? Negotiate it down from the Arab demands in talks, but don't do this stupid, counterproductive destruction of Lebanon.

The first thing that's needed NOW is a ceasefire, which we and Britain oppose.
