Fwiw, the only Macs that have been selling are the portables. Desktop unit volume was down (not good IMHO) even with Intel-based iMacs giving a compelling value and good performance. Everybody was waiting for a low cost iBook replacement and they jumped on it. Several people I know had been waiting to replace their 5 year old Powerbooks and now they have. The test will be how many Macs Apple will sell in the current qtr, and it's not a given IMO.
