Any society that refuses to kill will die out. Or perhaps I should say "be killed out." Unless you consider that a good outcome, subscribing to it is insane.

Saint Augustine wrote on that more than 1600 years ago. Thomas Aquinas amended that more than 700 years ago. As far as I know, every head of the Roman Catholic Church has endorsed that view.

Where is the equivalent authoritative source that dissents from this view?
