I was just reading Captains Quarter's, and the situation doesn't sound good at all..... Harper needs some way to get "Canadians" to heck out of Lebanon, and now, not at the rate of 1000 a day. The idea on CQ is that if Israel invades that Syria will also invade, because Lebanon is Syria's access to the Mediterranean. So Israel may end up fighting Lebanon, Syria and the Hezbollah all at once. I see that the Israeli PM is going to meet with the Palestinian PM to try to fix their problems. I would not want to be sleeping in Lebanon tonight. Now Israel has opened a passage for relief ships, and I think the Israeli PM needs to ask for permission from the Lebanese leader before he decides to invade. He may not get it, but there is a slight chance that by asking, they will eliminate the need for the lebanese Army to get involved, and they may be able to kill off Hezbollah without a lot of unnecessary Lebanese Army Casualties. At that point lebanon could fight Syria, until the israelis arrived to help.
