The idea that you can capture combatants in a war zone, and hold them even if there is no sentence passed down on them, has no logical connection to the idea that it is ok to round up your political enemies, lock them up, and throw away the key.

All you have to do is start redefining war zone and combatants.

Just take war zone and expand that definition inch by inch. Get the drift?
