Do you have any evidence "liberals" don't support science? I'd be interested in statistics on this- if you have them. I remember reading that the National Academy of Science is liberal. I'm wondering how you came up with your generalization and what evidence you have to support it. I'm a biology undergrad, and I met a lot of liberals who supported science, and most of the science professors (biology) were liberal. It's possible the engineers are conservative, but since I'm married to a very liberal one, and see a lot of his very liberal engineer friends, I don't have much data on that.
