Ichy these sort of arguments could go on forever. I don't have time to relive Gulf War debates
Unlike many people, and it may not show, I believe most people go through life doing the best they can. You and I have discussed the Israeli position and the Hezbollah position. I believe that Israel doesn't know what else to do. they have no place to go, they have no way to escape, they are stuck. Cornered. They are in Israel, with people surrounding them, swearing they will kill them, and people lobbing bombs and missiles and there is no escape. It never ever stops. They cannot stop the bombs and missiles, or live with them, so they must attack, and they have lost all perspective.
So it doesn't matter whose fault it is, or who started it, after escaping the Death Camps, they have lived only with death and hatred for 60 years. I do not see how Israel will live with itself after the killing ends. Because today the only option Israel can see is to kill as many Muslims as they can. As fast as they can, and destroy Hezbollah and anyone standing with them.
When you look at the history of the Jews, you find them chased from place to place, harassed, robbed, beaten, but you find very few really violent Jews. For a couple thousand years, Jews were not known for their warlike tendencies. Christians, sure lots of wars. Muslims same thing. But the Jews not so much. with the exception of course of a few American Gangsters. 85 years in Palestine has changed all that, as I have said before Israel today is a creation of the Muslims.
We live in Canada, our habit is to move over and make room for the new guy. Too bad the Muslims weren't that smart in 1929. |
