Introduction......... Sales up 36.7% in FY96 and through the first half of FY97 are up 98%. EPS 0.34 Actual in 96, EPS 0.49 Estimate in 97, EPS 0.67 Estimate in 98. quote.yahoo.com Earnings are seasonal with much higher sales in Q3/Q4: "The demand for CDs and other multimedia consumer products is seasonal, with increases in the fall reflecting increased demand relative to the new school year and holiday season purchases. This seasonality could result in significant quarterly variations in financial results, with the third and fourth quarters usually being the strongest." Be aware that a strong finish to this year is needed to reach the estimates. But many comments from managemtnt suggesting that 1997 will be OK. "Mr. Anderson noted, ``The second quarter statement of operations included the integration of Benchmark operations into Zomax. The integration has now been completed in July and I anticipate certain efficiencies will be realized in the third quarter and beyond... In addition, the second quarter SG&A expenses include SG&A expenses from the two acquisitions made in the quarter...Also, in the second quarter of 1997, the Company had to outsource a portion of its CD manufacturing which increased the cost of sales percentages." quote.yahoo.com ...to be continued...
