We don't need Bill Clinton to find out what Bin Laden wants. It's not about us, it's about the Arab world. Bin Laden's mentor tried to foment revolution in the Arab world (in Egypt) and failed miserably. Bin Laden and his fellows are failures in their own lands, and hoped by bringing terrorism to the West to generate the kind of "revolution" they could not generate by working in their own countries. Even with the West abetting them I don't see it happening- though I have to admit that the US is working overtime at the moment on the side of AQ and every other malcontent group in the Arab world. Mr. Bush could not have designed a better plan to help extremists than the invasion of Iraq, and his bizarre attitude toward Israel's destruction of Lebanon. Bin Laden (and his fellows) may have been pretty ineffectual in terms of radicalizing the Arab world- but Mr. Bush is much better at it.
