Progressives are also supportive of taking off the heads of Hezbollah. But progressives unlike rightwingers do not lust for World War III. They see this only as a two-week limited police action, sort of like exterminating rats from your basement.

Don't make the mistake of siding with Hezbollah. Those guys really are nuts. They don't even recognize Israel's right to exist.

That said, this is partly a result of Bush-Cheney stupid dishonest cowboy foreign policy which is not only reckless but plays right into the hands of Osama Bin Laden and his dreams of Armageddon. Remember, after 9-11 Iranians were marching in the streets in support of the USA.

Peace is what we want here. But I'm afraid we'll have to wait until Bush-Cheney are gone to achieve it. They just don't seem to grasp the meaning of diplomacy, and nobody takes Condi Rice very seriously. She is just a puppet who will say anything she'd told to say.
