Why would you even consider Dell? If you want to nibble on some investments, why don't you consider HP. Hurd seems to be doing a fine job in turning HP around. Of course, given the state of this market, one must be careful when it comes to investing. Personally, I think one should consider defensive stocks at this time. I think it will take several months for this market correction to finish. At that time, I believe we will see the markets moving to new highs. Are you kidding about earning 1% on your cash? Money markets are returning well over 4% and a three month CD will get you over 5%. These rates of return are better than the market's return. One final note, given all the negative sentiment surrounding the tech sector, I would be very careful with respect to jumping into the sector. Stock Bull
