P.Jansen, all, I've been aware of the Abaxis equipment for a while, Immucor (BLUD) is also making a device that is close to final FDA approval, J&J make a similar product. I don't know the benefits or either device, but I did see this post on the biotec roumor mill recently: Rumor: Abaxis, Piccolo Posted by Mr. POL on August 16, 1997 at 16:29:48: This company has sure been advertsing itself as heaving the greatest thing for my practice, are they for real ? A competitor's rep showed me a marketing report (COWEN REPORT ?) that tagged the system as "dead man walking." The concept is slick, but the rotors are hideously expensive (and the panel somewhat restricted). Should I keep my good 'ol DT-60 ? IsJ&J ever going to update their system ? Are there any other viable choices out there? (Reflotron - NO, Analyst - NO MORE) HELP ! Sounds like there is a report out there from Cowen; anybody know about it? thanks, art
