That would imply that he is basing it on something Hulbert published last Winter." Nice try but the phrase "through january 31 2006" is a change that was made some time last week. Different wording was there last Sunday 16 July 2006. It was that wording that people were objecting to as being fraudulent advertising. Here's that wording.: "Hulbert Financial Digest ranks Bob Brinker's Marketimer number one for stock market timing for the past five, ten, and fifteen years." investment.suite101.com Now I suspect the queen will say that this is hearsay and I can't prove that is what Brinker's website said last Sunday. Well sorry but there is an archive and here is that statement on the web page last year. web.archive.org The jury is still out on Brinker's new claim that he is number 1 "through 31 January 2006" I believe Kirk has a subscription to Hulbert so he may have the back issues to check this out. As to the fact that Brinker change it I agreed with you that it is to his credit if he was responding to legitimate criticism. Another poster here claimed that a bus driver was launching an email campaign to NY attorney general Elliot Spitzer. Maybe Brinker changed it based on pressure from Spitzer's office. I don't have any proof one way or the other but I have proven beyond the shadow of a doubt the it was changed.
