I wouldn't call that obvious without at least going through Hulbert's back issues to see if there was something it was based on, and if possible hearing Brinker's side of the story as well.

No, but I think the date he gave provides a good place to start in examining Hulbert's back issues to determine the truth of the matter.

So you think Brinker is going to give you "his side of the story"? How is that going to happen?

Just to be sure you haven't changed your characterization of Brinker's posts about STII here; you would agree that "his side of the story" was a self serving crock and indeed would qualify as a "whopper" don't you agree?

I agree that it will be interesting to see if there is any such # 1 rating for anything. I cannot believe with as many categories and as few timing letters that at some point his pamphlet wasn't number one at something, but amazingly enough no evidence has been presented. I think like Scales suggested that it is a lead pipe cinch that Brinker is not rated "# 1 for 5, 10 and 15 yrs" by Hulbert or that would not have came crashing down as soon as it was mentioned.

How about "Rated # 1 for using the largest amount of "cash reserves" from selling model portfolios to buy into a disasterous trade and totally hide the impact on your performance pretending it never happened"

I think he'd be a category killer there!
