As we have been discussing in this thread, we don't yet know whether his statement was true at one time. If that turns out to be the case, then he was guilty of failing to update it. He is not the only newsletter writer who has not updated his advertised performance information fast enough to satisfy his critics. "He can't change that but I bet it will be changed in the next issue.*" You have responded to criticism by making your advertising more accurate, and you deserve credit for it. If he does the same, he deserves credit too.
