If my surmise is correct that the US has been suckered and played by Iran and Hezbollah from day one of this latest crisis, then playing into their hands further doesn't seem to accomplish much. When your opponents try to paint you into a corner in terms of world perception, your objective should be to maneuver your way back into the center of the ring where you have maximum options and flexibility. I don't blame Bush for Bin Laden's existence, just his continued liberty outside a US prison cell. Once again, I have reached my limits of knowledge and interest in the whole Israeli-Arab muddle. I will sign off on the subject for now.
