Somebody has to take the bull by the horns. May as well be me. First off, I asked you for content, and we talked abut Matt White's site (which you just pointed out). I made some suggestions (regarding content which you didn't have, and didn't consider). I made PShop mock ups of those suggestions so you would see exactly how those would look like. You said they were great. Nothing more to add, I went ahead and built them. I make PShop mockups in an early stage so you have the power to revise them before building. You approved, I built. Your hours went into that build that you approved.
Then you got pissed off. After all the work that you could have saved in the "pre-build" stage, I offered to build you a new site for free ... essentially two sites for the price of one. Trying to get you to contribute to the right area of content that you want, but every time that I ask what you want into your site, you rebuff me. I've made several appeals to you, to tell me what you want, but you won't do that either. I've asked several times to get your vision of the site, so I can make it to your happiness. Since you're digging out PMs, I can do the same for you as well, though I have a little more class.
Perhaps that's the difference between us. I've offered several times quite recently to resolve your issue, immediately now. And the response here vs. the response to actually getting you from "here to there" in reality is not of interest to you. If you don't want a resolution, if you keep avoiding a resolution, but you just want to be bitter instead of getting from Point A to Point B, what am I'm supposed to do?
I had offered several times to make this work between us, and as little as 45 minutes ago via PM, I offered a solution. You wouldn't even have the courtesy to answer that. You don't want a solution. You want to bitch. That's fine, too. When you get your tantrum out of your system, I'm still available to talk to get your thing solved. If you ever get out of your tantrum.
And hey, if I were really an as#)&*le, I'd just ban you from this thread. But I haven't. I encourage discussion about my shortcomings -- anybody is open. Some clients work well, and some don't. I've tried very hard to help you find your vision, and you insist that I'm the culprit because I haven't "found" your vision, yet you bitch and whine everytime I ask via PM to help you find your own vision. At this point, I'm actually doing "free" work for you since you sabotaged the first site that you approved earlier, that I spent hours building. You can go fu... fulfill some inner dreams within yourself. Is that the polite way of saying it?
And yeah, I'm still building your free second site. Now, if you could just tear yourself away from typing on SI, and into typing your own self-marketing, you might even help yourself a bit. At least your site would get done. Whether you succeed or not, is up to how you present it.
