I think on most issues there is bias. I think the bias is all over the map- and has more to do with the paucity of new ideas, and the fact that people tend to see things as a herd, or anti-herd, depending on how the media line up on an issue, and that they see things either the way they've always been seen, or in reaction to the way they've been see, than in any unique way, and this has little to do with politics and much to do with cutlure, because people tend to define the world the way their culture does, no matter where people are politically- so they are generally biased. Therefore it would be important to explore bias in the media if you want to look at bias in people reading the media. One side is probably right in any debate over bias. I have no idea which side that is, in any given issue- I'm only willing to offer my opinions wrt very limited circumstances regarding repeated phrases- because then I think you can see it- but determining bias has a huge bearing on the debate over who is biased, since the people who see bias where there is none are wrong, and the people who see bias where there is some are correct, and thus only half the debate, in any given situation, are actually partisans making things up. That's important, imo.
