You don't seem to get that. You're right. I don't get that out of it at all. The subject articles were not designed as bias-free test materials. Yet some people on the side to which each was biased saw them as biased in the other direction. Making the articles unbiased would not have changed that phenomenon. The bias of the articles is not relevant to the conclusion.
