"I do see this war widening, and the sooner the US gets inthere to clean up the swamp, the better for everyone." You are right. I think US should guarantee "Israel's right to exist", thereby removing that argument from the table. Then the US should demand Israel go back to 67 or 48 borders and place US troops at those borders guaranteeing "Israel's right to exist". Then, with the Israel security issue off the table, the world can see if Israel has been effecting a land grab all along in an effort to resurrect a Greater Israel or does Israel genuinely want to live in peace and security as it claims. For the US, it will be cheaper than what is happening right now. Our young men are dying in Iraq and we are being manipulated into entering wars with everyone Israel has a problem with.
